Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

This policy applies to the FlyerAlerte Premium subscription. It forms an integral part of our terms of use.

1.Before you subscribe

The free plan remains available with no time limit. We recommend trying it before subscribing.

At the time of subscription, the price, billing frequency, applicable taxes and first renewal date are shown to you before you confirm payment.

2.30-day free trial

Every new Premium subscription starts with a 30-day free trial. Nothing is charged during that trial; your payment method is stored with Stripe and is only charged once the 30 days are over.

You may cancel at any time during the trial, from My account → Subscription. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged and you keep Premium access until the trial end date.

If you do not cancel, the subscription continues automatically at the rate shown when you subscribed, and the recurring billing described below starts at that point.

3.Billing and renewal

Once the free trial ends, the subscription is billed in advance, monthly or annually depending on the plan chosen. It renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current rate, until you cancel.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not retain your card number.

Any price increase will be announced by email at least 30 days in advance. You may cancel before it takes effect; if you do not cancel, the new rate applies at the next renewal.

4.Cancelling your subscription

You may cancel at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason, from My account → Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.

You keep access to Premium features until that date. No further amount will be charged afterwards.

If online cancellation does not work, write to us at info@flyeralerte.ca; we will process the request and confirm by email.

5.7-day cancellation right (distance contract)

The subscription is entered into at a distance. If we did not disclose to you, before the contract was formed, the information required by Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, or if we did not provide you with a copy of the contract, you may cancel within seven days of receiving the copy of the contract and obtain a full refund.

To exercise this right, write to us stating your intention to cancel. The refund is issued within 15 days of cancellation, to the original payment method.

6.Refunds

Our general policy: we do not refund pro rata the unused portion of a monthly period already started, since you keep full access until it ends.

We do, however, refund in full on request in the following cases:

  • duplicate billing, or billing after a confirmed cancellation;
  • a renewal charged although you cancelled before the renewal date;
  • prolonged unavailability of the Premium service through our fault;
  • discontinuation of the service by us during your paid period;
  • a request made within 14 days of your very first payment, if the service does not meet your expectations.

7.Processing times

Write to info@flyeralerte.ca with your account email address and the reason. We reply within 3 business days. An approved refund is issued within 15 days; when it appears on your statement then depends on your financial institution, typically 5 to 10 business days.

8.Failed payment

If a renewal payment fails, we retry for a few days and notify you. Without a successful payment, the subscription reverts to the free plan. Your baskets and data are kept; only Premium features become unavailable.

9.Account deletion

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel ongoing billing with our payment provider. Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account.
